Bredbury St Marks Ladies and Girls Cricket

CAN U HELP?? WE NEED MORE PLAYERS! ARE THERE ANY LADIES OR GIRLS OUT THERE WHO FANCY HELPING US OUT. OUR CURRENT PLAYERS ARE AGED BETWEEN 14 AND 40+. YOU CANNOT BE TOO YOUNG OR TOO OLD.
LET US KNOW THEN HAVE A GO. COME DOWN TO PRACTICE (SEE BELOW).

LADIES
The 2010 season will be our fifth. We play in the Cheshire Women’s Cricket League. The team plays on Sunday afternoons in 40 overs a side league matches and in the evenings in 20/20s.

These 20/20s will be against local sides – Romiley/Dinting, Bowdon, Trafford, Poynton and Hyde.
All matches will be played with a hard cricket ball. Many of our star performers for our ladies team were only 14 or 15 years old last year. The future is definitely bright.

GIRLS
The girls will have several tournaments including the Lady Taverners and those run by the Cheshire Women’s Cricket League. In 2010 Bredbury hope to have U13 (years 5 to 8) matches against Marple, High Lane, Stockport Georgians and Cheadle Hulme. These matches will be played with a softball. Also we hope to arrange some U15 (up to year 10) hard ball matches.

PRACTICES

Ladies

We have outdoor practices for Ladies (age 14 upwards) on Thursdays in the summer starting at 6pm Please bring your own bat, pads, helmets, if you have them. If not we have a kit bag you can use.

Girls
Our junior practices are on Friday from 7pm to 8.30pm. We will mainly be using a softball and again kit is provided. There will some hard ball practice for the older girls.

All girls aged 8 to 15 welcome
